Conscious of the need to make people more aware and knowledgeable about wildlife in all its forms, the teaching establishments of the XIXth and XXth century acquired specimens which came from the four corners of the world. At the Museum, we today limit our acquisitions to the flora and fauna of Quebec and eastern Canada, but we nevertheless still conserve pieces of scientific and historical value.
